C.A.M.P.I. History
C.A.M.P.I. was founded in 1958 with the mission of providing maintenance and repair for sugar plants and equipments in Italy.
In the early 60s C.A.M.P.I. could closely observe the development of the industrial sector, and shortly after, detecting the strong demand of new sugar refining plants, C.A.M.P.I. decided to enter the manufacturing field of sugar factories integrating their maintenance services.
Thus, with the experience and know-how acquired over the years in maintenance activities, C.A.M.P.I. started the production of the first pressure systems; in the following years the company widened the competence in sugar industry and similar machinery and expanded in Europe and other Mediterranean Countries. At the end of the 70s the increasing work dimensions induced C.A.M.P.I. to move into a larger production site. Meanwhile maintenance, which was once the main activity, becomes less important to increase the manufactory possibilities of the company.
In the early 80s, C.A.M.P.I. decides to widen its production and starts manufacturing pressure vessels for the energy and Oil&Gas industry. In the early 90s, C.A.M.P.I. allocates more and more resources in these two sectors. It also acquires a greater importance on an international level thanks to the acquisition of significant jobs, both for their design and for the commitment they implied.
At the end of the 90s, due to the ever decreasing demand in the sugar industry, the main production activity becomes the construction of condensing systems and heat exchangers.
From then on, 90% of C.A.M.P.I. activity is bound to the energy industry (condensers for steam turbines) and Oil&Gas industry (heat exchangers, pressure vessels, columns, etc.) and it obtains jobs from the main companies of the sector.
